Vaishakh Surendran is a hotelier with more than 25 years of operational experience across India, the Maldives, Kuwait, and the United States. He has served as General Manager at properties under Accor, Wyndham, ITC, and independent flags — and at Lyfe Hotels Bhubaneswar, was recognised as Best GM in Odisha. In 2021–22 he served as Owner's Representative for two hotels in Texas, USA — on the owner's side of the table.

At Mercure Chennai he grew revenue from ₹18 crore to ₹24 crore, achieved a 100% brand audit score and recorded the highest employee engagement score across Accor properties globally. At Lyfe Hotels Bhubaneswar he took occupancy to 85% on ₹32 crore revenue. He understands every lever in a hotel's commercial engine because he has pulled every one of them.

Veritas exists because Vaishakh saw the same pattern at many properties: owners were making critical commercial decisions without an owner-level view — no benchmarks, no structured owner reporting, no outside perspective. Hotel teams were busy running operations; nobody had the job of building the owner's picture.

Veritas brings an owner-side view of commercial performance — working for the owner, alongside the hotel team. It is the firm Vaishakh wished had existed when he was on the other side of the table.
